UPF: the seal of honeys of Chile

Our purpose is to add value to our honeys that count on with an exclusive factor: their incomparable bactericidal and antioxidant properties.

What is UPF?

Unique Patagonia Factor (UPF) arises from HoneyGroup Chile in order to add value to honeys of Chile. Through a depth research, it has achieved to determine there is an exclusive factor in honeys: Their own remarkable bactericidal and antioxidant properties. This efficiency is determined by a denominate factor as UPF and it is defined by a lab analysis made by us.

Honey producers establish contact with UPF Chile, and is proceeded to pick the honey sample that requires to be validated by the seal.

We count on highly regarded institutions that allow certifying the lab analysis done, such as Universidad Católica de Chile, and Fraunhófer Center for Systems Biotechnology. HoneyGroup Chile signed an agreement with Fraunhófer; which has been studied over 800 Chilean Honeys.

This seal is finally provided by prior analysis of honey, which will allow the producer or exporter to market his product with a distinguishing factor as regards bactericidal properties of his honey.

It represents the exclusive compounds that are characteristic from this honey, ensuring the purity, quality and bactericidal power against bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus.
